From Saturday to Sunday, 379 new Corona infections were reported in Austria. As usual on Sunday, this is significantly less than the seven-day average of currently 458.
So far, there have been 644,586 positive test results in Austria. As of today, 10,596 people have died and 628,312 have recovered nationwide in connection with coronavirus. Currently, 413 people are in hospital treatment due to the coronavirus, 151 of them in intensive care units (previously there had been talk of 191 people, the figure has since been revised downwards). This number dropped by 17 within a day and by 85 patients over the course of the past week. A total of 392,807 PCR and rapid antigen tests were reported in the past 24 hours. Of these, 90,867 were meaningful PCR tests, with a positive rate of only 0.4 percent.
